Smoke drifts lightly and ethereally through the air, like a speech bubble in a comic strip beginning at my cigarette. For a moment, it looks innocent, almost beautiful.
Countless empty gray bubbles gather above the rooftops and slowly fill the sky, as if someone were trying to say something.
Gray words from gray everyday life rise and mingle with the breath of the chimneys.
And the air takes them in.
